A leading Global Data Centre Owner/ Operator is looking for an IT Support Engineer for their sites in NorthWest Sydney.

Reporting to the Senior IT Manager the role will support IT-related issues and requests from staff in their use of technology. The role includes enabling staff to effectively use not only hardware but also the information systems used within the business.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor the quality of IT delivery at the location and escalate within the IT department if required
  • Incident Management- Handle questions, requests, and incidents on request of the User or Helpdesk
  • Configure end-user computing devices (PC's, phones, tablets, subscriptions for users). Lenovo laptop/workstations, Apple iPad / iPhone.
  • Physical Storage and Asset Management -mobile phone, laptop, iPad, and any IT Peripherals
  • Working with other locations in preparing and testing equipment being used in events
  • Asset recording and tracking for end-user computer devices (employee, asset number, series number, change/ movement)
  • Handover to employees/Receive returns
  • Setup desk configuration for new starters
  • Activation and deactivation of related subscriptions
Background
  • Have at least 5 years of experience in IT Support supporting L2 or L3-related issues
  • Knowledge of ITIL Service Management
  • In-depth knowledge of Windows, Office, Windows Servers, IOS and VMWare
  • Knowledge and experience with Service Management tooling
  • Tertiary or TAFE Qualifications in IT or a related field
  • Australian Citizen or Permanent Residency Holder
